Actually attributed to an anonymous artist of the XVIth Century, the two paintings reveal the last manner of the Valsesian master Antonio D’Errico called Tanzio da Varallo (1575/1580-1632/1633). The mature artist is possibly the author of a newly discovering red chalk drawing at Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin, too, Head of a religious men, anonymous until now.
